KRAAL TRIAL: DAY 14 - 11-y-o witness no-show
November 18, 2005
THE PROSECUTION had to call other witnesses to testify yesterday because 11-year-old Shanice Stoddart failed to appear in the Home Circuit Court for further cross-examination.
The court waited for several minutes, but when Shanice, who was in the court building, did not appear, the prosecution called other witnesses.
Prosecutor Terrence Williams said yesterday that it was expected that the girl would continue her testimony when the trial resumes on Monday.
A 12-member jury has been hearing evidence since October 31 at the trial of Senior Superintendent Reneto Adams and the other five policemen charged with the murder of four civilians at Kraal, Clarendon, on May 7, 2003.
