Brown, Campbell murder case set for mention

The murder case of the woman and two men charged jointly with the murder of former president of the Jamaica Gasolene Retailers Association (JGRA), 62-year-old Lloyd G. Brown, and his 49-year-old fiancée, Sandra Campbell, has been set for mention on November 17.
The accused are Sandra Watt, household helper who was employed to Campbell; Donald Whyte, labourer, of a Kingston address, and 39-year-old Peter Dougal, of Santoy district, Hanover.
Watt has not been taken to the Home Circuit Court since her case was transferred from the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court two weeks ago.
Bail offer
Attorneys-at-law Ravil Golding and Hugh Faulkner, who are representing Watt, told Justice Lloyd Hibbert yesterday that Watt was offered bail in the sum of $150,000 with a surety but had not yet taken up the bail offer.
Whyte is to get legal aid and Dougal is being represented by Dr. Randolph Williams.
Dougal has been in custody since he was arrested in June 2004 for the double murder. Dougal's trial was set for yesterday but had to be put off because of the recent arrests of the other two accused.
Brown and Campbell were fatally shot about 4 a.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Campbell's home at Stilwell Road, Stony Hill, St. Andrew....
