Body fished from river, man said held with gun

The body of 32 year-old Clyde Brown, otherwise called 'Warlord' of Salt Spring, St James was found in the Barnett River near Railway Lane, Montego Bay in the parish on Thursday.

The police report that at about 9:30 am, Brown's body was seen in the water. The police were summoned and the body removed to the morgue for post mortem. Investigators say that Brown was seen fishing in the river at about 6:00 pm, on Wednesday.

The Montego Bay Police are investigating.
Also on Thursday, the police report that 25 year-old Damion Ivey was arrested following the seizure of an illegal gun at Cambridge Hill Road, 11 Miles, Bull Bay, St Andrew.

According to the police, at about 1:00 pm, a police patrol saw Ivey among a group of men on Cambridge Hill Road. "His actions aroused the suspicions of the patrol team and when searched, a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver, serial #620475, with four rounds was found in his possession," the cops said.
He is scheduled to appear in the Gun Court on January 6.
