Man in airport car park killing remanded

January 23, 2007

The ex-lover of the woman whose body was found in a bus at the Sangster International Airport car park in St. James earlier this month, was remanded in custody when he appeared before the Montego Bay Resident Magis-trate's Court yesterday.

Answering the murder charge was 40-year-old Dave Supersad, of Rockhall district, St. Andrew.

He was arrested in connection with the murder of his 22-year-old girlfriend, Debbie Morris, of the same address.

The accused man is booked to return to court on Friday when his attorneys, Peter Champagnie and Carline Reid, are expected to be in attendance.

The court heard that Miss Morris' body was found in a bus at the airport car park on the morning of January 4. Her face and neck were reportedly swollen and blood was seen coming from the mouth and nostrils.

Allegations are that the accused man told the police that he had killed the woman and was standing at the car park awaiting their arrival.

Further allegations are that Mr. Supersad voluntarily gave a caution statement to the police, in which he admitted to killing the young woman after she told him that she was having another relationship. This was after they allegedly had sexual intercourse.
