Man stabbed to death on Christmas Day

December 27, 2007

A dispute between a man and his girlfriend turned ugly on Christmas Day after the woman allegedly used a knife to stab him several times, eventually resulting in his death.

Police say they have detained the 19-year-old woman and named the dead man as Bjorn 'Ducee' Brown, 28, of Queensborough, Kingston 20.

The incident, the police said, occurred at approximately 1:30 am on Tuesday.

Brown was pronounced dead at the University Hospital of the West Indies.

Meanwhile, an unidentified man was shot dead along Hagley Park Road Tuesday night after allegedly trying to disarm a man in a motorcar in which they were both travelling.

The dead man has been described by the police as being approximately 25 years old, medium build, brown complexion, wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans.
