Kidnapped victim was not housed at Twin Palm Estates

January 12, 2008

The management of Twin Palm Estates has sought to clarify reports that its property in Palmer's Cross in Clarendon was used in the recent kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl.

According to reports from the police this week, a five-day investigation led to a home in Twin Palm Estates, where the girl was rescued.

But according to a release issued by the management of Twin Palms Estates on Thursday, the house identified by the police as the location at which the incident took place is called Palmetto Pen, better known as Berbi to its residents.

Although this community is adjacent to the Twin Palms property, it is not connected to the Twin Palms Estate development, the release said.
