Banker makes court appearance
May 20, 2008
Lawyers for embattled banker, Finton De Bourg, say they intend to appeal the million dollar bail granted to their client yesterday after he appeared in a court on fraud related charges.
Acting Chief Magistrate Jerry Seales granted the EC$1 million (US$370,000) bail to De Bourg, the chief executive officer of Capital Bank International (CBI), who is facing four counts of fraudulent breach of trust totalling more than EC$18 million (US$6.8 million).
He was arrested last weekend following an investigation by the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Royal Grenada Police Force
