Consumer Law Online
Every day the rights of consumers are becoming more important. Consumer Laws focus on the statues that govern the relationship between businesses and consumers. Their existence helps to protect consumers from illegal advertisements and the fraudulent sales of goods, services and real estate. Consumer Laws allow the government to stop these unlawful practices and enable the consumer to collect damages if engaged in such scandals.
Both Consumer Law and Business Law are inclusive of the Law of Contracts (requiring parties to keep promises) and the Law of Torts (governing civil wrongdoing). Although there is some overlap between Consumer Law and Business Law, it is important to distinguish between the two. Beyond contracts and torts, Consumer Law pertains to issues like tenancy and credit. On the other hand, Business Law deals with employment and the formation of businesses.
