Employment Law Online
Employment or Labor Law concerns the legally binding relationship between employers and employees. These laws are applicable from the time an employment offer is made and regulates the entire relationship thereafter. It also includes litigation on the basis of unfair labor practices and discrimination. Employees can be discriminated against for a variety of reasons, however there are a handful of reasons that are legally protected. The overall guiding belief is that no person should be discriminated against for characteristics they were born with or have no control over (i.e. gender, race, ethnic background, age and so on). For further information about discrimination, please see Civil Rights Law.
